ETHICS
Is it ethical for a Lawyer to refer a client to a loan company? The answer is yes, but the bar opinions do not provide protection to the attorney if you refer a client to a company that is not a licensed financial institution.
Upon request we will gladly provide the attorney with their state bar opinion of the subject. These are high rate high risk loans and there are companies who provide funding to claimants and their attorneys, but cannot call it a loan. This is because they are not licensed, so they purchase a portion of the proceeds of the claim.
Why take a chance on a company who loans out money but cannot call it a loan because they are not licensed?
Go with a company that goes through the steps to get licensed.
